About

Hi, I’m Lindsay.

I’m a mom of two little kids, and Little Summit Creative started because I needed art to do something — not just fill a Saturday.

Here’s what nobody tells you: the activity that looks beautiful online is usually the one that ends in tears. Too many steps. Too many rules. Too much riding on the kid doing it “right.”

What actually worked in our house was simpler and messier. Slow, sensory things when my four-year-old was wound too tight. Big, loud, physical things when she was mad. Something with a container and a beginning and an end when she couldn’t settle and I was out of patience.

Art stopped being a project and started being a tool.

What that means for what I make

  • Low pressure. There’s no wrong version. If it gets ruined, that’s part of it.
  • Short. Built for the window you actually have, not the afternoon you don’t.
  • Regulation first. Every kit and printable is designed around a feeling, not a finished product.
  • Honest. If something is messy, I say it’s messy.

A glimpse of our everyday

This is the part that isn’t for sale. Pressed flowers drying on the counter. A dozen tiny paintings that turned into one framed thing. Whimsical, usually messy, and never as tidy as a photo makes it look.

A gold frame held up outdoors with mountains behind it, holding a grid of twelve small abstract paintings in reds, greens and blues
Twelve tiny paintings, framed as one
Pressed flowers and leaves arranged on sheets of yellow contact paper on a work table, with an iced coffee nearby
Pressed flower suncatchers in progress

Some of it is for them. Some of it, honestly, is for me.

The shop side

Everything in the shop is made by hand in small batches and ships from Utah. My four-year-old is a very opinionated product tester. The baby mostly supervises.
